Pennsylvania orders stricter COVID-19 protections for hospital workers

The measures include staff members in housekeeping services, dietary services and maintenance


Pennsylvania's state health secretary recently issued an order requiring all hospitals to better protect staff from COVID-19, according to an article on the Becker’s Hospital Review website.

The order includes requirements for:

  • Providing staff with nationally approved respirators
  • Requiring universal masking for all individuals entering the hospital

The measures include staff members in housekeeping services, dietary services and maintenance.
