The Miriam Hospital in Providence walks users through the steps of proper hand-washing


The Miriam Hospital in Providence, R.I., is using a new educational video game system to teach proper hand-washing, according to an article on the NBC 10 website.

"Sure Wash" is an interactive simulator that users through the steps of proper hand-washing.

Published data shows the thumbs are missed, the fingertips are missed, each time,” said Nancy Vallande, director of Infection Control at The Miriam.

Vallande admitted that hand-hygiene is not exciting, but the simulator makes a game of it with prizes.
