Reliable Controls Products Now OpenADR Certified

Reliable Controls announced that the MACH-ProWebCom/Sys and the MACH-ProView LCD are now OpenADR certified.

Open Automated Demand Response (OpenADR) is an open and standardized way for electricity providers and system operators to communicate Demand Response (DR) signals with each other and with their customers using a common language over any existing IP-based communications network, such as the Internet.

DR plays a vital role in grid stabilization during hot summers, easing severely constrained electrical grids from coast to coast. Future energy crises caused by electricity demand exceeding system capacity can be postponed or even averted through DR. ADR helps system operators reduce the operating costs of DR programs while increasing resource reliability. For customers, ADR reduces the resources and effort required to achieve successful results from these programs.

As the most comprehensive standard, OpenADR has achieved widespread support throughout the industry. The mission of the OpenADR Alliance is to foster the development, adoption, and compliance of the OpenADR standards through collaboration, education, training, testing, and certification.

The Reliable Controls MACH-ProWebCom/Sys allows operators to publish a building automation system to the Web quickly and easily. This controller is a BTL-listed, BACnet Building Controller (B-BC), a BTL-listed, BACnet Operator Workstation (B-OWS), a powerful web server, and fully supports OpenADR 2.0a all in a single package.

The Reliable Controls MACH-ProView LCD with router is a powerful and elegant BACnet building controller (B-BC) and BACnet operator display (B-OD) that provides a plenitude of attractive, high resolution, graphical interfaces for your controlled environment while routing communications to multiple networks and fully supports OpenADR 2.0a.
