Some healthcare facilities are broadening the scope of women’s health services from a niche strategy tailored to women’s needs in one specialty to a one-stop center where women can get multispecialty care, according to an article on the Hospitals and Health Networks website.
The Ripa Center for Women's Health & Wellness, in Voorhees, N.J., was designed to meet the needs of women at all ages and stages of life. One founding principle is to make care convenient.
The facility has education space, a fitness studio and a demo kitchen for cooking classes. Wellness offerings include yoga, Pilates, mindful meditation and cooking classes.
The center has achieved the right balance, she adds. “It’s got comprehensive services, but it’s not so big that it loses any level of intimacy.”
