Serious safety problems, including food safety issues, were reported at the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital weeks after it opened to the public, according to an article on the Courier Mail website.
A room used to prepare formula for babies and children was not meeting food safety accreditation requirements, according to the hospital documents.
The latest documents reveal shelving in the ante room to the baby-formula preparation area was the wrong size, saying “It is a safety hazard for staff and a clinical risk.”
The hospital spokeswoman said a food business licence was issued by the council ensuring the hospital’s suitability to provide safe food services.
