San Bernardino Hospital Workers Protest Coronavirus Protocols

Demonstrations were held at more than 30 Dignity Health and Sutter Health facilities

Union workers at Dignity Community Hospital of San Bernardino demanded better staffing and access to personal protective equipment, according to an article on the San Bernardino Sun website.

Demonstrations were held at more than 30 Dignity Health and Sutter Health facilities.

Workers picketed as part of a statewide effort at Dignity Health and Sutter Health facilities to demand more collaboration with management to improve safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

One licensed clinical social worker at the hospital said that hospital management is not staffing enough workers to make sure all areas of the building are clean.

Nurses of Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, are also voicing concerns about how their hospital is handling an ongoing outbreak of COVID-19 cases, according to an article on the Massachusetts Nurses Association website.

The nurses say hospital executives have not effectively enforced the hospital's  visitor, masking and social distancing policies and have refused to implement safety recommendations from nurses.
