The photos in the slideshow were taken in hospitals across the U.S. A few of the problems pictured include:
- Pharmacy doors without access control readers
- Valuable equipment left in parking lot unsecured before installation
- Biohazards left in kitchen areas
Cybersecurity can also be overlooked during a crisis. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it can easily become a lesser priority, according to an HIT Consultant article. Spam attacks have spiked during the global pandemic, so proper network security is crucial.
