Visitors to Rhode Island Hospital don’t always comply with the rule that they have to wear a mask. and security has had to be called to escort them from the building, according to an article on The Herald News website.
A state ban ban on hospital visits changed in July and restrictions were eased — but not lifted.
For instance, Miriam Hospital and Newport Hospital, require visitors to pass a COVID symptom or exposure screening; not bring food or drinks in; and wear a surgical mask properly during their visit.
Hospitals may actually need more security to enforce the rules,
Not surprisingly, there has been an increased demand for security guards during the pandemic, according to an article on the CTV website. Job descriptions for guards now can include temperature checks.
