Staticworx launches Ameriworx ROX, static-free vinyl tile blending utility and creativity

Staticworx, North America’s largest provider of static-free flooring products, has introduced precision-milled Ameriworx® ROX as “the next generation of solid vinyl flooring.”

Functionally, Ameriworx® ROX is identical to Staticworx’s Ameriworx® line, which boasts a gap-free installation in addition to its anti-static properties. The new line features splashes of color and multi-pigmented, conductive granules that resemble rocks to create a “visually exciting” vinyl tile.

“When we created Ameriworx®, our main goal was to provide the highest quality ESD (electrostatic discharge) flooring available, and utility trumped other considerations,” says Dave Long, President of Staticworx. “Now that we’ve perfected the product’s performance, we wanted to develop a more visual and dynamic version of our flooring.  Ameriworx® ROX meets requests from architects, designers, and facility managers in multiple environments, and it presents opportunities to blend utility with creativity.”

According to Long, Staticworx often looks to nature for design inspiration (a process known as biomimicry), and rocks represented a natural fit.

“Rocks are durable and strong,” he said. “We climb them, photograph them, build walls, line counter tops, and burn fires with them.  And now we can literally ground them.”

Ameriworx® ROX meets all domestic and international industry standards, including NFPA 99 (healthcare), ANSI/ESD S20/20, IEC 61340-5-3, ESD S7.1, ESD STM 97.1, and ESD STM 97.2.  The Ameriworx® line is also the first ESD flooring system to be Floor Score certified in compliance with rigorous clean air environmental standards instituted by the State of California.

Like the original Ameriworx® line, Ameriworx® ROX is static-free, gap-free, has the lowest VOC and out-gassing parameters of any ESD vinyl tile, and is made in America.  Additionally, ColorThru technology ensures that color runs through the full thickness of tile to hide scratches, and ROX does not require chemicals or waxes for cleaning.

Ameriworx® ROX can withstand 2,500 lbs. of pressure per square inch, according to ASTM F970. This converts to 1.25 tons per square inch, which Long says is ideal for supporting heavy traffic from forklifts.

Ameriworx® ROX comes in seven colors, three sizes, and includes a lifetime electrical performance warranty.

“Nature certainly can inspire beautiful products,” says Long.  “Now, server rooms, labs, and other mission-critical spaces don’t need to look like operating rooms!”

Long says ROX has been favorably received by end-users, architects, and contractors.
