A Swedish hospital took precautionary measures after a patient who had recently visited a country with “confirmed cases of Ebola” arrived suffering symptoms of the virus, according to an article on the Express website.
Skane University Hospital in Malmo, southern Sweden, said the person walked into the infection clinic recently after coming down with a fever and doctors immediately suspected a case of Ebola. The patient had been in an area affected by Ebola.
The hospital has launched an investigation to determine what exactly the patient is suffering from and has isolated them.
A spokesman at the hospital said the patient is unlikely to have caught the virus disease “but we can’t rule it out before we have the test results."
