Elderly patient in Bridgeton, Mo., robbed of jewelry, purse


A woman dressed as a hospital employee robbed an elderly patient in a hospital bed at SSM-DePaul Health Center in Bridgeton, Mo., according to an article on the Fox2 Now website.

The imposter stole jewelry and a purse, taking the jewelry from the  patient's person while she was lying in her hospital bed.

According to the police report, a woman posing as a hospital employee came into the room and said the jewelry had to go because of a medical procedure. 

Bridgeton police are working with hospital security to investigate the incident.
