Pokemon Go and the search for virtual characters is having a real effect on healthcare facilities, according to an article on the Becker's Hospital Review website.

Gamers showing up on healthcare campuses to play are causing potential safety issues.

Calling security and the police is the first step for dealing with the issue. Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, Mich., for instance, banned gamers from its grounds and has alerted its security department and local police about the issue.

Utah Valley Hospital in Provo has asked the public to play the game without entering the hospital.
