A man killed a patient and an employee at a Florida medical center in what police are calling a random attack, according to an article on the Campus Safety website.
The gunman was restrained by two unarmed security officers at Parrish Medical Center shortly after police say he began firing his handgun. The officers held him down until police took him into custody.
The shooter entered the hospital alone through the emergency room and eventually entered the third floor hospital room of an 88-year-old patient and opened fire around 2 a.m.
A hospital employee was also shot and killed.
