View debuts industry's largest dynamic glass at Greenbuild

View, the leader in dynamic glass, unveiled the largest dynamic glass on the market to meet surging industry demand and expand its range of building applications. Scaling beyond its 5-foot by 10-foot electrochromic glass offering, View can now produce and manufacture 6-foot by 10-foot dynamic glass. This new offering opens up a wider array of projects and design possibilities.

Manufactured at View’s facility in Olive Branch, Mississippi, the industry-leading dynamic glass units provide a wider viewing area for occupants without obstruction from busbars or other visual compromises. It also allows architects and designers to enjoy greater flexibility in creating expansive facades, while meeting the performance objectives of building energy codes and standards.

“Today’s architects are making windows a focal point of their designs, embracing views and connectedness to the outdoors, yet are facing increasing regulatory pressures around energy efficiency that compromise vision. View Dynamic Glass is an empowering product that provides architects with unmatched freedom to meet sustainability targets even as they design larger glass facades,” said Erich Klawuhn, vice president of product management at View. “As a team we’ve worked hard to develop a solution that advances the built environment, and we look forward to participating in a wider range of projects with this latest offering.”

View Dynamic Glass maximizes natural light and provides unobstructed views while reducing heat and glare. Unlike traditional glass, View Dynamic Glass tints automatically in response to outdoor conditions or manually via a mobile device, providing greater occupant comfort and energy savings without ever compromising the view. To date, View has installed more than 150 projects, with more than 100 additional projects currently in development.
