Vitera Healthcare Solutions completes acquisition of SuccessEHS

TAMPA, Fla.—Vitera Healthcare Solutions, the nation’s premier provider of ambulatory electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software and services, has completed the acquisition of SuccessEHS announced on June 17.

“This transaction affirms our commitment to bringing lasting, long-term value to our customers,” said Matthew Hawkins, CEO of Vitera. “We’ll continue to actively support the success of ambulatory practices and public health centers by adding knowledge and solutions that help physicians further drive down costs, maximize revenue and improve the health of their patients.”

Privately held and established in 1995, the Birmingham, AL-based SuccessEHS provides electronic dental record, dental imaging and revenue cycle management solutions, in addition to EHR and practice management services. It will operate as a division of Vitera.

“The close of the acquisition marks a milestone in our journey to help our customers unlock the greatest value in their practice management and EHR systems,” said W. Sanders Pitman, CEO of SuccessEHS. “With our combined experience and insight in the health IT industry — gained collectively over the past 30 years — we look forward to the considerable opportunities that lie ahead for our physician practices and CHC customers.”

With the addition of SuccessEHS’s customer base, Vitera now serves more than 10,500 medical organizations and over 415,000 medical professionals nationwide — including more than 85,000 physicians. The acquisition expands Vitera’s customer base of Community Health Centers (CHC), including rural health centers, student health centers, HIV/AIDS clinics and Federally Qualified Health Centers, as well as expands Vitera’s expertise in delivering solutions that meet the unique needs of these customers.
