W. Va. hospital opened cooling station to beat the heat

The cooling center was free for the community


During a recent heatwave, Grafton City Hospital in Bridgeport, W. Va., opened a cooling station for people who needed to beat the heat, according to an article on the WDTV website.

The cooling center was free for the community. 

Temperatures were in the 90s, but it felt like it was in the 100s.

Another cooling station opened in a church in Lewis County but emergency management offices in other cities Randolph, Harrison, Gilmer, Upshur, Marion, Preston and Lewis Counties did not open cooling stations in the area.
