WAC Lighting's Vela Organic LED luminaires win Architectural SSL Product Innovation Award

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. – Recognized for innovation in solid state luminaires, WAC Lighting’s new Vela Collection, featuring an Organic LED chandelier and wall sconce, received an Architectural SSL Product Innovation Award (PIA).

Using the latest in nanotechnology, WAC Lighting has created the ultimate combination of style and function with the Vela OLED Collection-- an exceptionally thin and impressively bright chandelier and sconce family crafted of precision cut aluminum and defined by a sleek contemporary profile.

The Chandelier generates a total of 2136 lumens, with 12 OLED panels illuminating the surface below, and an additional 12 panels shinning up, providing a soft ambient light.

The Sconce presents a commanding impression with six OLED panels providing 534 lumens of even illumination and no glare. Perfect as a decorative focal point.

WAC Lighting has been driving innovation with new breakthroughs in lighting technology by developing luminaires with Organic LEDs, the ultimate in solid-state lighting. OLEDs enable gorgeous, ultra-slim designs while maintaining impressive light output, thus allowing for the creation of highly functional, decorative art pieces.
