Virginia Mason Memorial in Yakima, Wash., is being recognized as having one of the most sustainable health care facilities in the country, according to an article on the KIMA website.

Memorial won three awards for sustainable programs including operating room maintenance and food service.

Virginia Mason Memorial participates in the Healthcare Without Harm initiative to make sure the food they serve employees and patients is healthy and locally sourced.
