Wattstopper Architectural Dimming and Human Centric Lighting Solutions Accepted into the 2017 IES Progress Report

Legrand, North & Central America is proud to announce that three of its Wattstopper products have been accepted into the 2017 IES (Illuminating Engineering Society) Progress report which seeks to highlight developments in the art and science of lighting throughout the world.

Wattstopper products included in the report are the Blanco 3 Logic Module, DLM Color Control Schedule Switch, and Commercial Equinox User Interface (UI) that are a part of the broader Wattstopper Human Centric Lighting and Architectural Dimming solutions.

The three-channel Blanco 3 Logic Module is the only tunable white driver available in the market that adjusts corrected color temperature (CCT) precisely along the blackbody curve across a wide range of color temperatures to precisely replicate natural daylight. This makes it ideal for lighting designers seeking to personalize spaces with high quality tunable white light, in healthcare, education, and commercial office applications. It is the only solution that offers maximum flexibility of system design and control through Wattstopper Digital Lighting Management (DLM) or via DMX in the Wattstopper Architectural Dimming platform.

The DLM Color Control Schedule Switch allows users to enjoy the benefits of Human Centric Lighting (HCL) by automatically adjusting CCT levels throughout the day either on a default schedule or according to customized schedule. The switch enables automatic daylight cycling, which replicates the natural sunrise and sunset cycle based on the building’s geographic location and seasonal adjustments via an astronomical clock. Exhibiting a high resolution display showing the current CCT levels and tuning schedule, this is the most feature-rich, cost-effective CCT timer switch on the market.

The Commercial Equinox User Interface (UI) solution for the Wattstopper Architectural Dimming platform features intuitive navigation and a simple user experience that make it easy for users to control nearly any lighting type from simple on/off to complex scenes, dynamic white, and color control to ‘divide and combine’ applications. Any brand of shading, including the Wattstopper Solarfective brand of shades, can be controlled along with lighting. The Equinox UI software comes installed on Equinox touchscreens or downloadable as an app on mobile devices (iOS and Android). Equinox is the only solution that provides a unique interface and programming method for managing partitioned spaces out-of-the-box for both lighting and shades which eliminates custom programming and saves time.
