UV robots and vapor fogging with hydrogen peroxide are two whole-room disinfection options that can help eliminate human error in healthcare facility cleaning process, according to an article on the Outpatient Surgery website.

UV light disinfection is just one of a growing number of automated technologies that finish room disinfection and help prevent healthcare-associated infections.

There are also germ-zapping robots that emit UV-C radiation that destroys pathogenic organisms by damaging their cellular DNA. 

Hydrogen peroxide can be applied to an OR as a mist or as a vapor. Machines can fog hydrogen peroxide vapor into the air, which reaches in and around every surface in the enclosed space.
