Wildfire destroys three Calif. skilled nursing facilities

All three skilled nursing facilities in Paradise have been destroyed

All three skilled nursing facilities in Paradise, Calif., have been destroyed by the wildfire that has left at least 50 dead, according to an article on the McKnight's Senior Living website.

Two staff members of Cypress Meadows Post-Acute were still missing when the McKnight's article was written. In addition to the confirmed dead, there are more than 200 people missing.

About 175 residents from the three Paradise facilities were evacuated last week.

Some senior care facilities that have evacuated have posted updates about their residents. Atria Paradise, which offers memory care and assisted living, posted photos of the residents at a hotel participating in activities, the article said.
