Hometown Health Expands Health Insurance Offerings in Southern Nevada

Hometown Health, a statewide non-profit health insurance company, announced today that it will be expanding its presence in southern Nevada to provide residents with the high-quality care the company has been providing in northern Nevada since 1988.

"We are pleased to bring Hometown Health to southern Nevada and deliver on our mission of making a genuine difference in the health and well-being of the people we serve,” said CEO of Hometown Health/Senior Vice President of Renown Health Ty Windfeldt. “Clark County, a place where more than 2 million people live and work, is a market that is essentially underserved in terms of health insurance options. We offer a high-quality insurance product with competitive rates, and a wide range of coverage plans to benefit individuals, families, and employer groups.”

For individuals and families, and for employer groups with 50 or less employees, Hometown Health’s product offerings are very appealing.  The company offers a variety of Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) health insurance plans with access to a wide range of health care providers.  These plans are designed to offer coverage that meets the legal requirements outlined in the Affordable Care Act at competitive rates.

Hometown Health is led by Windfeldt and Vice President of Healthcare Networks Simone Cook. In Windfeldt’s role he oversees all aspects of Hometown Health, which has more than 140,000 members to date. He’s also leading Renown Health’s expansion of services into Southern Nevada and he works directly with other Renown Health entities to develop and implement strategies and products that fulfill Renown Health’s mission and vision.

In Cook’s position, she works in partnership with contracted providers of Hometown Health while focusing on growing the health network. As a Las Vegas native, Cook comes to Hometown Health with years of experience in the healthcare industry.

Individuals and employer groups interested in a health insurance quote from Hometown Health are encouraged to contact a licensed health insurance broker.  Licensed brokers understand the marketplace and the plans available and can help consumers make the choice that is right for them. For more information about Hometown Health, individuals and businesses should contact their broker or visit hometownhealth.com.
