Dominion Senior Living recently held the grand opening of its new personal care and memory care community, Dominion Senior Living of Richmond. The senior living community hosted a ribbon cutting and open house at the community, located at 200 Meridian Way. The free public event featured door prizes and delicious Kentucky-themed refreshments for guests to enjoy. Representatives from Dominion Senior Living’s support services team attended, including Steve Hall, founder of Dominion Senior Living; Mark Taylor, president of Dominion Senior Living; Michael Holtzclaw, senior director of operations; Peter Hall, Dominion Development Group; Sean Chalmers, project manager; Taylor Yoakley, project manager; Logan Nico, project manager; and Jill Fiala, regional director of sales and marketing. Local team members attended, including Tina Newman, executive director of Dominion Senior Living of Richmond, as well as Jessica Lee, Debbie Potter, Ryan Baker, Tim Engle and Alina Kennedy. Representatives from both the city and county were also present to commemorate the occasion. The two-story community can accommodate 60 residents and will create around 50 new jobs in Richmond.

“Our team has been working around the clock getting ready for this day, and we are thrilled to serve the Richmond community,” said Newman. “It was wonderful to see new faces from around the area join us for the grand opening and learn what Dominion is all about. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care in a safe, secure and peaceful environment, and that’s exactly what we do. Our team is creating special bonds with the residents who already feel like family. Helping others is part of our culture, and we already enjoy providing every resident, their family and our community with fun, educational and purposeful activities to enrich their lives each day.”

The community focuses on the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of the residents and team members. The therapy and wellness programs are available for everyone to use, and team members are encouraged to participate in activities and eat together with the residents. It is unlike any other senior living community in the area, complete with nurses and caregivers who are available 24 hours a day in a safe, secure environment with trained memory care professionals.
