Diversey Announces Call for Educational Scholarship Submissions for APIC Conference

Diversey announced a call for submissions for $1,000 educational scholarships to help hardworking infection preventionists offset the costs of attending the 2018 Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) Conference. The Minneapolis Convention Center in Minnesota will host the 45th annual conference, June 13-15. Applications for Diversey’s 25 domestic scholarships and two international scholarships are due March 30, 2018, and winners will be notified by April 6

“In an age of increasing antibiotic resistance, the work of infection preventionists is incredibly important in helping to protect the health of people around the world,” said Carolyn Cooke, Vice President Healthcare North America, Diversey. “By attending the APIC Conference, clinical professionals can network and discuss best practices that will allow them to create safer and more satisfying environments of care.”

Applicants must be currently employed in an infection prevention role and demonstrate active engagement in a key infection prevention-related project. For example, efforts may have led to increased patient safety and satisfaction or improved staff engagement in disinfection processes.
