Legrand Expands Wattstopper DLM Platform Integration Functionality with New Low-Voltage Auxiliary Devices

Legrand, North & Central America today introduced a new low-voltage dual-relay output accessory device and a low-voltage input interface device, both of which extend the capabilities of the Wattstopper® Digital Lighting Management (DLM) system. These two new additions provide contractors and specifiers more design flexibility to integrate with other systems and devices. Applications include private and open offices, conference rooms, classrooms, training centers, and hospital rooms.

Low-voltage dual-relay output accessory device LMOR-102 provides two relays for on/off control of devices that use 0-24VAC/DC as a control or signaling voltage, expanding DLM platform’s integration to devices such as AV hardware, projector lifts, shades, and nurse call systems. LMOR-102 relays can be controlled by other DLM devices similar to line voltage room controllers and can also be used to make or break low-voltage wires used in other products such as wireless plug load controllers or thermostats.

Input interface LMIN-104 allows third-party devices to connect to the DLM lighting control system. It includes four 24VDC input terminals and can be programmed to accept maintained or momentary switch closure inputs. Input signals can come from a wide variety of devices, including building automation systems, time clocks, and key switches for partition control, load shedding, and after hour cleaning of spaces. Additionally, the LMIN-104 can accept inputs from two existing DLM analog photocells. The LMIN-104 unifies the functions of four current DLM accessory modules, simplifying the choices for specifiers planning on using DLM as their Basis of Design.

As part of the DLM system, these products can plug in to other components using Cat 5e cables with RJ45 connectors, eliminating wiring errors and making them easy to design in to projects, install, set up, and configure. The LMOR and LMIN feature Plug n’ Go™ automatic configuration, which reduces installation time on the job, and Push n’ Learn™, which offers simple personalization without sophisticated tools or expensive software.

Legrand has also upgraded its Wattstopper LMCT-100-2, the fastest, easiest wireless DLM commissioning tool in the industry, and LMCS Commissioning Software to provide installers the tools needed to design projects, create submittals and reports, and configure product parameters. For networked DLM projects, the LMSM Segment Manager is available and provides facility managers a coordinated solution to control, monitor, and adjust LMOR schedules through a user-friendly browser interface.

“We continue to innovate and create new products that bridge gaps in the marketplace, and the LMOR-102 and LMIN-104 are great examples of this,” said Charles Knuffke, Wattstopper Systems VP and Evangelist at Legrand, North America. “When contractors and specifiers are asked to integrate the lighting controls to other systems, they need flexible devices that can meet multiple input requirements.”

Wattstopper DLM is a scalable, best-in-class platform that provides control infrastructure at every switch, outlet, and lighting load for optimal energy performance. DLM solutions meet industry needs for products that satisfy energy codes, and they adapt to new energy management and transformative lighting requirements.
