Facility renovation focuses on healthy living

Watertown Regional Medical Center in Waterford, Wis., recently built a 36,000-square-foot addition includes a renovated kitchen and dining area called Harvest Market Kitchen and Bistro, according to an article on the Health Facilities Management website.

The project also included a new patient-centered emergency department and obstetrics department and a rehabilitation area called Wellness Works.  

The Wellness Works area offers fitness programs, nutritional counseling, health screenings for community members. 

The food services operation focuses on a locally grown, sustainable menu that promotes a healthy lifestyle for patients and the community. The  kitchen includes fresh food prep areas to handle fresh produce, whole chickens, fish and meats.
