Fellowes introduces AeraMax PRO indoor air quality control systems

Itasca, IL — Fellowes, Inc. will introduce its newest product innovation, the AeraMax® PRO line of air quality control systems, in Booth 1412 at the 2014 AIA Convention, June 26-28, at Chicago's McCormick Place. The new AeraMax® PRO systems are designed to control airborne contaminants in public and shared areas such as restrooms, cafeterias, classrooms, waiting areas, and other common areas where airborne germs can pose the greatest risk for cross contamination.

AeraMax® PRO air quality control systems are uniquely engineered for public applications:

The units monitor themselves. A patented EnviroSmart(TM) technology automatically adjusts unit settings based on the changing conditions within the room. This optimizes air cleaning performance while maximizing energy efficiency.

Units have a vandal-resistant design, including locked access panel, concealed mounting screws, reinforced ABS plastic housing, and commercial grade components.

Units are hard-wired, and wall-mounted to become fully integrated into the room.

At the show, Fellowes will present computational fluid dynamic simulations, demonstrating the efficacy of the system’s ability to improve indoor air quality by reducing airborne contaminant levels while helping to equalize a room's air temperature.

Air quality control systems utilize filter media and bipolar ionization to safely, and cost-effectively, remove harmful germs, allergens, odors and volatile organic compounds from the air. Units include a true high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter to capture airborne contaminants, including mold spores, bacteria, virus and allergens that go through the system. Additionally, an activated carbon filter absorbs odors and volatile organic compounds that can cause respiratory/neurological health issues and skin and eye irritation. A needle-point bipolar ionizer releases both positive and negative ions enabling particle agglomeration to enhance the removal of these larger particles from the air.

Fellowes, a first-time AIA Convention exhibitor, will also present in its booth "Creating Cleaner Shared Spaces: The Air We Breathe Impacts Productivity, Perception & the Bottom Line." The presentation will discuss the importance of indoor air quality (IAQ) and empower architects and designers to employ strategies to improve the IAQ in the spaces they are creating. Attendees will learn about the often overlooked sources of indoor air pollutants and the impact they can have on productivity and the cost to the economy.
