Banning visitors, new rules for infection control and increased testing haven’t stopped spread of COVID-19 in the Colorado’s homes and rehab centers for the elderly, according to an article on the CPR website.

At least 107 such facilities have reported outbreaks. Several have had double-digit fatalities. 

The death toll , at 323 among residents reported as of Aril 22, nearly doubled from the week before.

State health officials have not been able to pinpoint a common source for the infection in nursing homes, and say that the asymptomatic spread of the disease has likely played a role.
