$5.2 million in repairs urged for Ohio hospital parking garage

$5.2 million in repairs is being urged for Lakewood Hospital parking garage in Lakewood, Ohio, according to an article on the Cleveland.com website.

The nearly 50-year-old garage has numerous structural problems including damage and corrosion to concrete slabs, beams and columns and steel beams.

Repairs would "restore the integrity of the structural members and eliminate potential safety hazards to patrons and vehicles," according to a written report.

After the initial $5.2 million expense, ongoing maintenance and improvement costs would equal about $100,000 annually, according to estimates.
