According to an article on the Ranker website, abandoned hospitals around the world are hotspots for paranormal activity. The article details the spooky legends of 12 of the world's haunted hospitals.

For instance, St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London was first opened  in 1123 and is still operational today.

The hospital has an elevator known as the "coffin lift," which sometimes takes passengers to the basement on its own. Once down there, the lights go out and the elevator won't move.
