ASSA ABLOY Announces Integration of Aperio Wireless Lock Technology with Kantech EntraPass Security Software 7.0

ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, announced the integration of its Aperio™ wireless lock technology with all editions of Tyco Security Products’ Kantech EntraPass Security Software 7.0. The integration provides an affordable way to bring the flexibility of wireless locks to almost any door or opening in a facility, including doors, cabinets, drawers, and server racks.

ASSA ABLOY’s Aperio technology is a wireless platform designed for easy expansion of electronic access control systems, providing a simple and cost-effective way to enhance the management and security of the complete system. Through the integration with Kantech EntraPass Software, ASSA ABLOY Aperio wireless locks can now be added to the EntraPass eco-system and can be managed from the EntraPass interface for an expanded security management experience, controlling core functions such as managing events, reporting and integrated mapping.

“The integration between our Aperio wireless technology and Kantech EntraPass Security Software 7.0 provides facilities with the flexibility and affordability of wireless lock technology where electronic access control was previously cost prohibitive,” said Martin Huddart, President Access and Egress Hardware Group, ASSA ABLOY Americas. “As part of the EntraPass eco-system, Aperio wireless locks integrate easily with new and existing EntraPass installations, giving Kantech customers a broad range of new options for expanding their systems.”

Aperio is a global wireless platform that allows you to expand your access control footprint – quickly, easily, and affordably. It uses wireless communication (IEEE 802.15.4) between the lock and an Aperio hub to provide real-time communication to the access control system, simplifying installation and reducing costs. Available across a broad range of locking hardware from ASSA ABLOY Group brands, Aperio offers the flexibility to address a variety of applications throughout any facility.
