A recent report by Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions (GWS) said that “adoption of technology and the pace of continued innovation in facility management lag far behind other industries,” according to an article on the FacilityCare website.
Researchers said that reluctance to adapt is hurting facility professionals by holding them back from further professional opportunities and also by keeping them from tools that would make their make their job easier and add value to their system.
The report said that facilities professionals that adopt new tech solutions provide greater value to owners.
Those who don’t demonstrate the adoption of new technology risk being left behind.
