After eating hospital food for a week, the CEO of Ottawa Hospital pledged to overhaul the facility's menu, according to an article on the Ottawa Citizen website.
After hearing complaints from patients for years, the Canadian healthcare facility is now introducing quinoa salad and ditching the chicken à la king.
The hospital is also considering a system in which patients can order room service late in the evening.
Gillian Wallace, who wrote to the CEO asking him to do something about the food, said a friend recently referred to the eggs her husband was served in the hospital as “the yellow puck of sadness.”
