Amerlux Salvus 20 unveiled to clear walking paths and increase safety in parking lots

Amerlux introduces the Salvus 20 light engine to provide an energy efficient luminaire for enhancing visibility and safety in parking lots, open areas and pedestrian walkways. Designed in sleek architectural post top or cantilevered styles, this light is suited for lower mounting height applications by using few LEDs with amazing performance and glare control. Salvus 20 is elegantly designed and features innovative sealed optics, passively cooled heat sinks, a sophisticated thermally isolated driver and a 60 percent reduction in operating costs.

“For lighting designers and architects looking for the latest and greatest in LED design and technology, the new Amerlux Salvus 20 pole mount LED Site and Area light is sure to make your next new or retrofit project look state of the art,” explained Amerlux CEO and President Chuck Campagna. “This LED luminaire features a contemporary look and high performance while offering dramatic improvements in efficiency and savings.”

Salvus 20 offers an IP-66 rated Optical Module, which is sealed separately as a unique LED/Optic combination. This engineering design eliminates the need for secondary optics that reduce lighting efficiency while allowing for extremely fast and cost-effective maintenance replacement. Innovative optics include one of two high-performance individual lenses that are configured specifically to achieve IES Type II, III, IV or V roadway light distributions.

The fixture is offered in 75w and 100w models. Cool, neutral or warm color temperatures are offered, including 3000K, 4000K and 5000K CCTs. The luminaire delivers up to approximately 11,000 lumens and a total efficacy of 103 lumens per watt.

Salvus 20 will mount to a 2 7/8-inch OD post or tenon with 5/16-inch black oxide coated stainless steel set screws to ensure a solid connection. Crafted with a die-cast aluminum body, the fixture is engineered with an easy access-wiring door.

The integral driver is convection and conductively cooled, and thermally isolated, yet offers electronic constant current operation with over voltage and short circuit protection. It also features thermal foldback for abnormal operating conditions and automatic voltage sensing for 120 to 277v input.

Premium quality polyester powder coat finishes are offered in Anthracite (Metallic Gray), Satin Black, Classic Bronze, Silver, Textured Black, and White. Custom finishes are also available.

The family also includes the Salvus 26 Large Cantilever Site and Area Luminaire, and the Salvus 26 Large Post Mount Site and Area Luminaire.
