Armstrong Ceiling and Wall Solutions Expands Product Portfolio With Addition of Tectum Portfolio of Products

Armstrong Ceiling & Wall Solutions has expanded its product portfolio of design options with the addition of Tectum® acoustical wall and ceiling products. Standard items in the new Tectum line include Direct-Attach wall and ceiling panels and both Tegular and Lay-in ceiling panels. Custom Tectum products include Blades™ vertical elements and Baffles, Shapes & Clouds, Concealed, Finale™, and Panel Art.

Featuring a combination of durability, sustainability, acoustics, and a textured wood fiber visual, all the new additions to the Armstrong Solutions portfolio are ideally suited for open spaces and high-traffic, high-abuse interiors, ranging from auditoriums and gymnasiums to schools and restaurants.

Multitude of Acoustical Design Options

Tectum Direct-Attach panels are ideal for heavy-use interiors and can be easily installed on wall and ceiling surfaces including masonry, drywall, and wood. With Noise Reduction Coefficients (NRC) up to 1.0, the panels can provide excellent noise reduction, especially ideal for retrofit applications in open areas and exposed structure spaces.

With sound absorption (NRC) values up to .90, and (CAC) value of 35, Tectum Tegular ceiling panels with Fine Fissured™ infill panels offer Total Acoustics® performance that features an ideal combination of sound absorption and sound-blocking benefits.

Wide Variety of Color Choices

Fast and easy to install, the Tectum products are available in a variety of colors, including standard Natural and White, 13 standard Colorations® colors, and made-to-order Sherwin-Williams® colors. The panels can also be field painted up to six times without impacting their fire or acoustic performance.

Environmentally, all one-inch-thick standard Tectum products in White and Natural are part of the Armstrong Ceilings Sustain™ portfolio, meeting the most stringent sustainability compliance standards today. The sustainable panels can also contribute to LEED® credits including FSC® certified wood, have Health Product Declarations (HPDs), Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), Declare labels, and are rapidly renewable

Myriad of Sizes, Shapes, Colors, and Forms

Tectum panels can complement a design through a myriad of different sizes, shapes, and forms. Tectum Panel Art wall panels, for example, are offered in eight pre-fabricated shapes that allow for creative "art" while providing abuse resistance and acoustical absorption. Custom shapes, sizes, and colors are also available. Tectum clouds and Blades™ vertical elements offer even more design options.
