Austin pest control company earns national certification for environmental disinfection


Sarah McElwee, director of business development forPest Management, Inc., is the first in Texas to join an elite class of technicians and earn theNational Institute of Decontamination Specialists (NIDS) environmental disinfection certification.

“Environmental disinfection is in high demand across the country and we are the only training center to offer this unique certification,” Kent Berg, NIDS director, said. “I am pleased that Sarah McElwee has proven her credibility and expertise to earn the NIDS environmental disinfection certification that government agencies, businesses, and the public trust.”

The environmental disinfection certification allows Pest Management, Inc. to perform large scale environmental clean-up and disinfection in areas of disease concern, outbreaks, animal waste, and other public health hazards.

Pest Management, Inc. is the exclusive holder of the NIDS environmental disinfection certification in Texas and is currently the only company to hold this certification in Louisiana and Mississippi.
