It is the first hospital outside South Carolina to join Prisma Health.

By HFT Staff

Prisma Health announced the official integration of Blount Memorial Hospital, a 304-bed nonprofit community hospital in Maryville, Tennessee, into the Prisma Health family.

This partnership marks a significant milestone in delivering high-quality, innovative care to East Tennessee while preserving Blount Memorial’s longstanding legacy of community-focused healthcare. Notably, Blount Memorial is the first hospital outside South Carolina to join Prisma Health.

The integration follows months of collaboration, including unanimous approvals from the Blount Memorial Hospital Board and the Blount County Commission, as well as approval by Tennessee Attorney General, Jonathan Skrmetti. Since July, Prisma Health and Blount Memorial have engaged in exclusive negotiations, extensive due diligence and comprehensive integration planning to ensure a seamless transition.
