The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's new have warning about superbugs says "everyone is at risk" for antibiotic-resistant infections, according to an article on the WFBO website.
The CDC reports more than 2.8 million antibiotic-resistant infections occur in the United States each year and more than 35,000 people die as a result.
In total, there are 21 threats in this new warning.
One of urgent threats is from Clostridioides difficile. The CDC reports 223,900 cases in 2017 and at least 12,800 deaths.
