COVID-19 healthcare facility design checklist

A task force of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) releasing a new checklist for healthcare facilities that was developed healthcare providers on the frontlines of the pandemic, according to an article on the Boston Real Estate Tmes website.

The checklists provides strategies to support staff and patients by addressing the challenges imposed by COVID-19.

The list deals with:

  • Spatial modifications
  • Air handling 
  • Spatial modifications for COVID procedures
  • Spaces for staff

This is the second checklist developed by AIA’s task force.
