CXtec Acquires Atlantix, Becomes The Leading Secondary Market Hardware Supplier

Next wave of attacks will likely target Internet of Things

CXtec announced the acquisition of Atlantix Global Systems, a leading reseller of new, reconfigured and refurbished IT equipment located in Norcross, Georgia. As a result of the transaction, CXtec becomes the leading secondary market hardware supplier with extensive refurbishment, sourcing, distribution and maintenance service capabilities.

“We believe this acquisition creates an industry-leading and dynamic organization that places us in a position to maximize the market,” said Peter Belyea, Chief Executive Officer of CXtec. “As a full-service IT lifecycle management company we will strengthen the value we bring to our customers. The dedication and collective talent of our teams, reputations, and systems will create tremendous opportunities for both organic and inorganic growth.”

“The addition of Atlantix accelerates our growth strategy by adding server/storage products to our equal2new® brand, strengthening our RapidCare® offering, and allowing us to enter the enterprise IT asset disposition (ITAD) space," said Belyea. “I believe Atlantix is to the secondary server/storage market what CXtec is to the secondary networking market.”

Atlantix has a long tradition of success over its 40-year history and a stellar reputation within the industry. Both Atlantix and CXtec have been recognized favorably in research reports conducted by Gartner, Inc. and are ranked in the top half of this year’s CRN’s Solution Provider 500 list of North America’s Top Technology Integrators.

Belyea will be the CEO of the combined company, which will retain its world headquarters in Syracuse. Brian Glahn will remain President of Atlantix, whose operations will continue in Atlanta, focusing on the expansion of its server/storage and ITAD segments.

“Joining CXtec provides us with access to an extensive end-user customer base which creates additional opportunities for significant growth in the IT marketplace,” said Glahn. “We look forward to integrating their company philosophy into ours, allowing customers to decide when and how to upgrade their technology infrastructure.”

“We will capitalize on the best practices of each organization and will remain focused on the needs of our customers and team, with the goal of continuously improving responsiveness and overall customer satisfaction,” said Belyea.

“This is a very exciting time in the history of our company and signifies our commitment to investing in our business, people and communities,” said Belyea. “We will continue to pursue additional acquisition opportunities and organic growth as part of our overall strategy.”
