Three general acute care hospitals and other healthcare facilities have been evacuated as massive wildfires continue to burn across California, according to an article on the Becker's Hospital Review website.
Several skilled nursing and intermediate care facilities and more than 300 patients have been evacuated.
For instance, Adventist Health Feather River Hospital in Paradise, Calif., and several buildings on the facility's campus have been damaged.
State officials need to assess the damage before the hospital can potentially reopen. Many of the hospital's staff said their homes have been damaged or destroyed by the wildfires.
