Columbus children's hospital plans expansion

Nationwide Children's Hospital to add two new facilities near its downtown campus

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, will add two new facilities near its downtown campus, according to an article on the Medical Construction & Design website.

The new buildings will ease crowding in both faculty offices and current outpatient clinics which have outgrown their space. Some ambulatory services will also be moved away from the inpatient hospital to allow them to expand.

The Livingston Ambulatory Center will be six stories and 200,000 square feet, costing approximately $85 million.

A new faculty office building will house academic offices that will be relocated from the hospital’s main campus. The building will also be six stories and about 150,000 square feet, costing approximately $45 million.
