The Masonic Villages in Pennsylvania are in a constant state of expansion and renovation, according to an article on the Lancaster Online website.
With the market expanding and the campus established more than a century ago, there’s going to be a lot of building to do, the article said. The rate of work ebbs and flows, depending on the economy, but lately it has ramped up.
Since 2009, Masonic Village has spent almost $130 million on construction and renovation at Elizabethtown, Lafayette Hill and Sewickley.
In 2011, a $55 million renovation project began at the Elizabethtown campus’ Health Care Center.
Since 1999, Masonic Villages has been part of the Eden Registry. The Eden Alternative model of elder care stresses the values of respect, collaboration between residents and caregivers and personal growth.
