Denton County MHMR Center Suffers a Data Breach

The incident occurred on or around December 24, 2024.

On or around December 24, 2024, Denton County MHMR Center, My Health, My Resources (the Center) discovered unusual activity on their network. Upon discovery, they took immediate action to secure the network and engaged a team of third-party specialists to investigate the incident. The investigation determined that certain information stored on their network was accessed by an unauthorized party for a limited time between December 24, 2024, and December 25, 2024. 

Following a thorough analysis, on October 10, 2025, the investigation determined that potentially affected information included include patient names, addresses, patients’ identification numbers, dates of birth, diagnosis, medical history information, medical record numbers, medical treatment information, lab information, treating doctor’s name, medication information, vaccination information, medical insurance information and biometric identifiers. 

In response to this incident, the Center partnered with third-party specialists to implement additional security measures within their network and reviewed their policies and procedures related to data protection.
