Diversey Care to Offer Scholarships to Attend 2017 APIC Conference

Sealed Air’s Diversey Care division today announced it will offer 25 domestic, and two international $1,000 scholarships to infection preventionists to attend the 2017 Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) Conference.  The conference takes place June 14-16, 2017 in Portland, Oregon.  The deadline to apply for the Diversey Care scholarship is April 7 and winners will be notified by April 24.

“The APIC conference is an outstanding event for infection preventionists, but many potential attendees may have to forgo the trip due to budget cuts within their organizations,” said Carolyn Cooke, Vice President Healthcare North America, Diversey Care. “We’re excited to provide these scholarships so that more dedicated professionals can expand their knowledge, collaborate and build relationships in order to create safer and more satisfying environments of care.”

To be selected, nominees must be currently working in the field of Infection Prevention.  As part of the process, nominees must share details of their engagement in a project or program that contributed to preventing infection or improving patient safety.  Winners will have the opportunity to experience the benefits of the conference, including educational sessions, networking with other professionals and learning about the latest ideas and innovations in the field.
