Eaton unveils Pow-R-Line PXBCM branch circuit monitor panelboard

Power management company Eaton announced the launch of its new Pow-R-Line® PXBCM Branch Circuit Monitor panelboard, an integrated panelboard that monitors up to 84 branch circuits to provide exceptional performance and easy installation. Pow-R-Line PXBCM panelboard provides facility managers across industries with remote access to live energy readings for a cost-effective solution to energy and power monitoring at the branch circuit level.

From data centers to manufacturing plants to commercial, residential and government facilities, Eaton’s new Pow-R-Line PXBCM panelboard is ideal for end users to help track power usage and maintain compliance with emerging energy codes. The solution combines monitoring capabilities of branch circuits with overload alerts that indicate when circuits are close to exceeding thresholds, enabling facility managers to proactively mitigate events and minimize downtime.

“Energy codes are constantly changing and, regardless of their industry, facility managers are challenged to maintain compliance with emerging codes,” said Alan Wyant, product manager, Eaton Commercial Distribution Products and Assemblies. “Our Pow-R-Line PXBCM panelboard assists these facilities in meeting evolving building codes and regulations, all while lowering costs and maintaining continuous uptime.”

Innovative features in Pow-R-Line PXBCM panelboard include:

An intuitive web interface providing the ability to access live energy readings remotely and facilitate data integration

Overload alerts that indicate when the circuit is close to exceeding its threshold, giving managers the ability to take the necessary preventive actions and avoid costly downtime

Ability to track energy usage with ANSI C12.20 (0.5%) system accuracy for internal cost allocation

Option to monitor only what is needed from 25 to 100 points per system, optimizing costs for the user

With a wide variety of applications and features, the Pow-R-Line PXBCM panelboard is ideal for end users across industries. For example, data center managers who implement the solution optimize data center design and function, increase efficiency and scale to meet future power needs. Additionally, the simple installation of the solution ensures facility managers can be up and running with remote monitoring quickly and easily, saving time and costs associated with energy usage and minimizing downtime.
