Eaton's ALERiTY mass notification solutions wins Security Industry Association's Best in Emergency Communications System Award

LONG BRANCH, N.J. … Power management company Eaton announced that ALERiTY mass notification solutions from its Cooper Notification business won the Security Industry Association’s (SIA) New Product Showcase (NPS) award for Best in Emergency Communication Systems at this year’s International Security Conference and Exposition (ISC) in Las Vegas.

“We are dedicated to developing innovative security solutions for a wide range of customers,” said Ted Milburn, vice president, Marketing, Eaton’s Cooper Notification business. “This award validates that commitment by recognizing our new line of ALERiTY solutions, reinforcing our position as an industry leader in emergency communications.”

The ALERiTY line of IP network-based mass notification systems (MNS), offers a one-click solution to launch critical messages across its three layers of MNS - in-building, wide-area and distributed recipient. The advanced IP technology provides enhanced interoperability with life safety and communication systems such as fire alarm control panels, sensors, paging and light emitting diode (LED) digital display signs.

Since its inception in 1979, NPS has recognized products in the security industry for their innovative or efficient approaches in areas including access control hardware and software; biometrics, identification and credentialing; emergency communications systems; intrusion detection and prevention solutions; and others.

“Each year, the companies competing in SIA’s New Product Showcase at ISC West present the leading-edge security solutions that are shaping the industry,” said Don Erickson, chief executive officer, SIA. “These new technologies and solutions are the drivers that are moving the security industry forward, and I congratulate Eaton on its win at this year’s NPS.”
