Embattled Wis. hospital gets 7 more citations for routine violations

UnityPoint Health-Meriter in Madison received seven citations in its third inspection

UnityPoint Health-Meriter in Madison, Wis., received seven citations in its third inspection stemming from an investigation of a nurse suspected of injuring five babies, according to an article on the Wisconsin State Journal  website.

The citations are routine violations related to the facility.

They include not installing battery-powered lights in a procedure room and failing to have a remote stop for a generator.

The Madison Police Department continues to investigate the nurse, who was suspended by Meriter in February in connection with bruises and fractures the babies sustained beginning in April 2017.
