FKP Recognizes Employee Excellence with Corporate Promotions


FKP announces several promotions that support the firm’s continued growth and geographic expansion. Twelve employees are being elevated to new corporate positions, including five executive promotions. These promotions recognize outstanding contributions to our community, clients and firm.

·      Mitch Levitt, Business Development Director, is now Senior Principal. Levitt directs FKP’s national strategy and business development for the pediatric healthcare sector. He is also a key member of FKP’s management team. Levitt also works directly with clients, consulting on operational issues in community health, pediatrics and academic medical centers.

·      Kristin Ledet, Director of Interiors, is now Principal. Ledet ensures client functional needs and business objectives are incorporated into the interiors of FKP-designed healthcare facilities across the US. She delivers intelligent design solutions to optimize the energy within each space, while catering to patient and caregiver needs.

·      Elizabeth Nilsen Cantavella, Chief Administrative Officer/CFO, is now Principal. Nilsen is responsible for all aspects of corporate financial leadership including financial strategy, executive leadership advising, design and implementation of financial systems, and support management. She guided FKP through the opening and expansion of new offices and work in new states.

·      Johnny Lau, Senior Architect, is now Senior Vice President. Lau focuses on healthcare architecture. He provides project management and design, facility planning, code research, construction documentation and construction administration. Lau is currently working on the Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands Hospital and Medical Office Building.

·      Don Lawrence, Senior Healthcare Consultant, is now Vice President. FKP’s healthcare clients rely on Lawrence for medical programming and planning and operations optimization. He helps clients visualize their daily operations by modeling computer simulations of their new space. Lawrence also conducts post occupancy evaluations to develop performance-driven designs.

Seven employees were also promoted to new roles as a result of their professional growth.
