A fire at at the University of Michigan Health System's cardiovascular center in Ann arbor started during an operation and spread to a nearby curtain before it was extinguished, according to an article on the MiLive website.
The Burea of Fire Services launched an investigation to determine whether the hospital was operating in accordance to state fire regulations.
The patient who was burned was in good condition, hospital officials said.
In a social media post, the woman said she "caught on fire" during a surgical procedure.
